The opening shot of The Player was a solid five minute tracking shot through a movie studio.
Alfred Hitchcock's 'Rope' was shot to be one continuous sequence like a play. There were a couple cuts throughout it but they had to be there since the film had to be changed in the camera a few times.

C'était un rendez-vous
is a short film made in 1976 by Claude Lelouch, showing an eight-minute drive through Paris at 5:30 AM.
Basically one long shot from the bumper of a guy driving a ferrari as fast as he can through the centre of Paris.

also, it's debated as to whether it was a Ferrari or a Mercedes...but anyways, yeah.

Yeah i was reading about that, apparently a top of the line merc with dubbed ferrari noises...
But in my head i imagine it being a ferrari, fits the scene more :)

likewise...yeah, apparently, it was driven by a pro driver friend of his. He applied for a license to shoot it, but got declined, so he wound up doing it without one, and was arrested immediately upon showing it for the first time.

Irreversible is also a film shot in one shot.
Incorrect. There are cuts in this film. Subtle, but they are there.
