hmm remmeber when the BPM party at crobar was mentioned on his site -- but no tickets were being sold for that? <-- at least i dont think so...

I am having a hard time following this. How is presenting his album to 75 people going to sell 'more more more'?

The people in suits can be newspaper/magazine people. So they may make articles in their magazines or newspapers explaining their experience of a set Paul might play as well as getting a copy of the album. Good reviews = more more more $$$ I guess.

just emailed him asking him about this gig, he says he's not aware of any event at a restaurant.....but to stay tuned to his site, as a new york show will be put up in a couple days for May.

because the best type of promotion still remains by word of mouth alone. 'industry' type parties have been done plenty of times before to 1> have fun of course and 2> present new material to get the buzz going whose end is to what? sell more records. sorry to say but in the end, cash is king and everyone has a motive to do what they're doing.

we were pathetic, maniacal paul-whores at the time and just after his virgin megastore 30 min. performance for the release of 'the politics of dancing' i guess :conf: (really don't recall at the moment) and we ended up waiting around for paul to come out (to rape him, of course) and then saw him getting into a limo presumable to get back into his limo so we got into indy's car and i made her slam on the gas and keep on his ass! eventually, we lost them :( :o :stongue: good times.
