There's only so many weekends in the summer...Europe has a festival every one it seems.
Plus it would be better to have DV the same day as Sensation Black b/c Sensation is a night event. You could still go to DV during the day and then SB at night. Whereas Extrema are both full day events. |
Heh, you'll probably have no energy to handle both DV and Sensation Black. Handling Black alone requires a lot of energy :D. |

Aren't the DJs at Sensation Black a different style then what is at DV? |

I know, but Extrema is not as big as Sensation. Besides, wasn't DV always near the end of July/beginning of August? Why the change now? |
I believe the police officers had something to do with it last year. There weren't enough officers to patrol the grounds so they forced UDC to change it from the first weekend in August to July 14/15th last year (so I heard).
Anyhow, UDC lost money due to it having to be held on the same day as Extrema cuz believe it or not, Extrema is a HUGE event there and sells out very quickly. So this year they are working together and if you go to www.udc.nl you will see that. DV is on the 15th this year and Extrema moved their date to the 21st.
Sensation Black isn't as big of a deal as DV is. DV is the largest dance music festival in all of Holland and the most widely known as well. If you look at Sensation Blacks lineup already compared to DV and what they have to offer, there really isn't a comparison imo. |

Ya...that's what I thought. In comparison to DV, DV is a lot bigger of a deal and a lot more people would go to that. I haven't even heard of 90% of those people.
Having it on the same day as Sensation WHITE though, I can understand that being an issue!
this just reminds me of how much I want to go to Extrema |

I see what you're saying, but also keep in mind hardstyle is huge in Europe (and especially in Holland). |

meh.. I am not overly impressed with the lineup this year from the past 3 years I have gone.
I suppose that my time will be spent at the Main, Global and Marco V stages.
But I will definitely be checking out:
Preach
Umek vs. Valentino Kanzyani
Cristian Varela
Marco Bailey
Carl Cox (he always plays techno at DV)
Sander van Doorn
Yoji :D
Tim Deluxe (just cuz I think it would be fun)
My schedule of dj's to see won't be so rushed this year.
I just really hope that Extrema has a killer lineup to make up for DV being much more lowkey than previous years. |

I really hope that Ferry closes over PvD. He was horrible in 2005.
Although Cox will probably close his stage so I will more than likely be found there.. lol |
