they was the exact same rumour last year and it didnt happen and probably again next year lol.
It puzzled me when i first heard the rumour cause didnt GC loses alot of money on this? and wasnt the last sound system a massive flop so didnt understand why they would do it again.

seen this too a while back but only saw it official this week, i used to be a fan of the whole gatecrasher thing back in 99/00/01 but part of me felt that it was getting a little bit too ambitious with what it was trying alongside the big backlash towards trance in the early part of the new millenium, along with scott bond departing and matt hardwick looking to broaden his horizons from gc1 the club went off the radar a bit.
but from what i can see, things are looking a little positive for the brand (thats what its become really) and with bond going back to dj for them (maybe him and simon raine(if hes still there) have patched things up) then there might be some good nights ahead at gc1.
also, its good to see theyre moving on from the classics nights too cos i think those things have been done to death over the last 12 months and get a little tedius with the 1000s of classics cds out every week.

as for the summer sound system night at lotherton hall, im not too sure about it until i see the lineup anounced but ive got a feeling that it wont be that strong and probably along the lines of some of their recent lineups at gc1 and medias classics nights plus a huge influence of dave pearce judging by the fact he was their resident in ibiza last year and that the announcement is on his show.
the original gatecrasher introduced unknown future heroes to the uk scene when it was in its prime of the 90s but im not too sure if this new generation of crasher has the proverbial "balls" to deliver the future today as they always used to say.....

giving anymore cash to GC
Prototrance
Niiiice. I was at the final one they did and wouldn't call it a flop. Glad its back, I always liked it. That said global gathering took over very nicely where GS SSS left off.

Will be checking this out.

Edit:- As others have said, line up dependant. If there is the slightest sniff of dave 'cu*t' pearce or the word 'anthem' is used anywhere I will be staying well away.

i think the following will probably be on the lineup

judge jules
paul oakenfold
eddie halliwell
dave pearce (recorded live for dance anthems)
jfk
riley and durrant
scott bond
matt hardwick

perhaps a classics set by oakenfold too

the more i think about it, the less appealing its getting. maybe crasher will be a bit ambitious and put on a suprising lineup but somehow im not that confident:(
