Lira, get your hand especially on "Knockin' on Heaven's door" and "Der Eisbär", both with Till Schweiger. The latter might be a German "Pulp Fiction" copy but it's still very entertaining.

check out Nach Fuenf im Urwald

pretty sick movie, also with franka potente, interesting movie about a troubled girl outside of munich. get a little glimpse of the party life there too :crazy:


there's also a in CRAZY german film about this family that has a vacation house on a lake, and they get held hostage by a bunch of crazy s... does anyone know what im talking about?? one of the most graphic movies ive ever seen :wtf:

Excellent Wolfgang Petersen WWII submarine film. Get the German version with the english subtitles.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys. Lola has turned me into a foreign film freak...My Blockbuster queue is now full. ;)



BTW, here are the first 8 minutes of Run Lola Run...very poor quality and no subtitles, but it might pique the interest of those who havent seen it. This is right after her boyfriend loses the $100k

You mean Funny Games.


Be sure to check out Das Leben des Anderen (The lives of others). That movie is just brilliant, especially Ulrich Mühe's perfomance.

Also, this thread needs more Werner Herzog. If you want some :wtf: check out Auch Zwerge haben klein angefangen (Even dwarfs started small). Angst essen Seele auf (Ali: Fear eats the soul) is great, too.
