ok so i only recently started playing cds and now i have filled up my cd book (280 cds) and i dunno what to do with the cds that wont fit in my cd book anymore. I want to keep them organized but i dont want to get a bunch more CD books i would love to be able to keep them all in one place and in some sort of order so i can find stuff when i want them again. What do you guys do with your left over CD's?

Thanks
Chris

Just get another CD binder/book. It's easiest, ensures your old CDs have a safe place to stay if you ever want to use them again, etc.

I have two binders, and I went through re-sorting them. Once I purchased the second one, I dedicated one to "not-so-legal" music and one to legal music. Outside of that, my sorting system remains the same for both.

Again, this is a simple answer. Just buy another cd case. They're fairly inexpensive. Hell, I got one from a local radio station who was promoting at the Taco Bell near my bank. But if that doesn't work for you. You can save one of your CDR spindles and just stack them on that.

I just buy more CD binders. Every 128 CDs I know I need another binder, and they keep my discs in mint condition. I'm on binder #10 now:p

You could try buying sleeves for the extras, at $6 for a pack of 50. That would be cheaper now, but it would be better in the long run to just have another binder handy instead of having a tower of CD-sleeves.

This is what I use: http://cgi.ebay.com/ALUMINUM-1000-C...1QQcmdZViewItem

I wouldn't trust the locks on it at all, but it keeps the CDs in great condition, plus it's really easy to find/organized your CDs.

I have two of these I use for gigs!!!
I love them!!!

Just don't forget your lock code, it's a pain to have to reset it.

Believe me, that makes it impossible to find anything if you decide there's an older track you want to start playing again... I've got about 600 old CDs stacked on spindles here that I haven't got around to sorting out and I can't find a single thing when I want to!

It's ok for temporary storage, just don't let it get out of hand like I have :p

I just stack the unused CD's in an empty CD spindle :) You never know when you'll need them someday.

not if you have them all numbered and keep them in order with an index folder. It makes it very easy to go directly to the cd that you want and track number.

Thats what I do and it works just fine. Plus I don't have to waste money on sd binders by recycling the spindles.
Only problem with it is when I get too drunk, then i just start layin 'em on top of beer cans and ash trays and what not. But i'd probably do that even if i had a binder
