Oh. My. ing. God. GENIUS!!!!!!!
I have never in my life. NEVER. been to a party where in one fell swoop, I totally changed favourite DJ ever (til now). There are simply no words for how ing incredible that set was. I have no idea whatsoever on the tracks he dropped, I've never heard at least 3/4 of them in my life, and the other ones were like, "Ohmygod, this song?! What IS this anyways?" I don't even know what other DJs I might use to compare, to give an idea...
He was so cute! He came on the mic once at the beginning of the night to say, "Here's one of my new ones, hot off the press, just for you," and then at the end of the night, to thank everyone. Well, over the cheering, screaming, hooting and hollering, for just... one... more... track...
VIP was closed, but honestly, didn't make a difference. There was nobody there. Maybe a couple hundred showed up over the night, max. What a shame! Pity you had to leave so early, Sarah! it was unreal. |

, I knew it. Glad it was great, but I'm upset I couldn't be there. Only 100 people showed up?! WTF is that? |

Growing suspicion that 99% of what constitutes mad, packed Stereo saturday nights is people more addicted to drugs and partying than the music.... cuz all the best music is comin' on fridays, and ain't no people. Desyn was empty last time I saw on on a Friday. Ditto Vibe the other week. Ditto... well, every other amazing DJ that comes on Friday. Kinda sucks, I guess, but I really don't care. It's still open, the DJs are still spinning, and the music is still great. Less of other peoples' sweat to wash off the day after :P |

Oh, and incidentally... another thing that makes Behrouz a total superstar. I asked him to play one of the tracks I'd been listening to on loop for the past 3d from the Sonic/Toronto set from last month--well, more along the lines of, "Sir, it would absolutely make my life if..." He laughed, no problem, 2 tracks later it was in. It'd be the 2nd or 3rd one from part 1 of the set, he said it's called "Escape"
Anyone have it? I NEED that track. Sucks having to track back through the set again and again ;) |

No alot more people showed up. There were a lot of people there according to many friends. This is how rumors start. It was not packed like your normal saturday nights but there were lots of people there. |

| There was way over 100 people, probably around 400. Stereobar had 259 or something and I'm guessing most those people went to Stereo. |

There was more than 200 at Stereo main room, I don't really care, other people get the impression that it was empty and it wasn't. I'm just clarifying how many people were there. |

Thanks guys, for making my first trip to Stereo so wonderful.
Got there at about 3.30am, was surprised to see 2 of my friends that I didn't think were coming with us (yes, everyone else knew, almost had a heart attack), beautiful space.
Really enjoyed seeing Warren and Michael as well as Mike and John that I had met in Miami!!
Amin was a complete doll, thank you for the list, much appreciated.
I felt as looked after at Stereo as I used to feel at Sonic, a testament to a great crowd in a great space.
Behrouz didn't do it for me though, sorry :) |
