I always had an affinity for this type of music in my younger teen years but nobody else did so I sort of pretended to like Oasis and the Smashing Pumpkins, etc. There was one song I really liked when i was about 16...it was in that movie Studio 54. The words were like "I don't know where we went wrong, but love...something something". Cheesey as hell but it sounded so fresh at the time compared to all the awful rap and hip hop which I still, to this day, largely despise.
