I'm looking for ways to connect a computer to stereo amp. At the moment I'm running it out a USB soundcard to mixer to amp, mostly as there's no place to work near the soundsystem. the mixer is already connected by rca's and i can work at that desk.
Is there any decent wireless method to link this up? It's mostly for internet radio and the like, the laptop's wireless so moving that is easy. Short of something like a sonos wireless, which would be perfect but overkill since I'm not after multiroom systems and it's well over US$1000
Anything better than long RCA leads? |

| right or left angle RCA connectors maybe? They have a 90-degree turn and are quite a bit shorter then the regular ones. |

Have a look at VLC Player.
You can stream music over a network using that program.
You have to set it up to capture the incomming stream and then send it over your network using a UNC address, load your laptop up connect to you network and type in the UNC address and you will have whats playing.
Or seeing as you already have wireless just use the laptop and a 3.5mm jack to phono lead. |
