back in the day he was doing mostly gay parties cause he has a really big gay following he spun lots of vocal house and nyc house stuff but since like 02 he changed his sound and begun to spin more underground and deep and tribal and since 04 hes been the hottest nyc dj besides danny t
he has a cd commin out next month and he will deff be the talk of this years wmc and for the next year
this nye he spun in canada with tiesto thats a pretty solid booking
so i would deff say to those who dont know or know lil about him to keep your ears open he deff does not play around :D |

Just cuz you people dont know about house and there isnt an online forum with 70000 people who talk about djs like him everyday doesn't mean there isnt a following.

Well I've never seen him play in the UK! We have a decent house scen here too. Your in Montreal if he has a residency there then you get to see him play frequently. I'll reserve my opinion on him until I see him play. So give people a break and stop being a jumped up little ing prick all your life. |

| Calderone isn't whining at not being in the top 10 i'm sure.He is consistently working and is a draw surefire in the gay community if not everyone else.I'm sure he is far from starving.Not a fan of his producing work, but i as a dj the man does posess immense talent.I once bore witness to him spinning a 12 hour set...he just took it from A to Z and back.It was masterful.The funny thing is some of the "top" dj's have enough trouble doing 4 hours.lol. |

Calderone was originally a Jonathan Peters & Junior Vasquez clone spinnin' cheesy diva house. But since he has changed his style, the guy has been on point. Great prog/tribal house. Every time Calderone hits NYC I manage to catch him. He creates an awesome blend of music, using th underground influences of the NYC & Madrid house scenes.
He'll thrown down some tracks by local NYC djs like Bailey, Santana, & TKC, then tear it up with tracks by Martin H, Julian Poker,J Velarde, etc. |

I saw Calderone last year around november, honestly I was greatly disappointed by his set. 3 hours filled with nothing but diva-vocal house, some good tribal tunes but he just kept it going for around 30-40 minutes with some techy house in the very end, but as far as direction and flow of the set it was rather ordinary, way too messy in my opinion with so many vocals flying around the whole set.
So maybe he wasn't as sharp that nite, who knows. |

the vibe at his events are insane! i went to my first VC event a week ago and was blown away. i had been at pvd the night before and the as a trancehead i have to say the VC event blew PVD out of the water.
i realized from talking to people that VC would bring back week after week no matter how often he comes whereas a huge name like pvd or tiesto if they were here every week it would lose its luster and one would say ill see him next time no big deal. but with VC his fans will never miss his shows.
got to give mad respect for that! by virtue of that fact the man should definitely be at the very least top 20. |

| VC embodies the concept of international resident DJ. He has an every other monthly residency here at Stereo and pull the biggest crowd. He pulls more than Morales who has an almost cultlike following at Stereo, his own club ffs :p |
