View this Thread in Original format KilldaDJ so i was jamming some tunes out on my guitar and the string broke... so i pulled the peg out and well... . wienerschnitzel OH SNAP! that was the best i could do. jdat how did you pull out the peg? if you didn'tuse a peg tool that could be the problem right there f00! ok now how exactly are you going to fix it? easy as pie! ( or as cake as I was actually told yesterday! ) Take a drill with a wood boring bit smaller than the peg. Ideally it would be half to a third of the size of the peg because if it is larger you could easilly damage the bridge! Drill gently through the center of the peg. Then you can take a tool ( screwdriver? ) and gently hammer the center and the sides of the peg. If this doesn't do anything then drill again trying to enlarge the hole and repeat trying to hammer the peg in. KilldaDJ yas im kinda buggered here because when the string snaps again, the peg is gunna be stuck in the bridge and then i am truely ed. oh and i used a pair of pliers to yank the peg out (the bridge is proper solid) but the head of it kinda crushed and broke itself i managed to save the broken string though by tieing a knot into it to the remains of the peg classical stylee :) and now im drinking beer talking to the girlfriend on ze msn about the dude who gave me too much change reguarding the beers :happy2: CLICK TO RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE
