As the head of Influx Audio, Kevin Bazell aka Kazell is responsible for some of today's hottest Progressive sounds. Recently featugreen on Nick Warren's GU Paris compilation, Kazell has continually received approval from top DJs all over the world. It is with great pleasure that AMP brings a little of the west coast LA flavor for the Chicago masses.

KAZELL [Influx Audio, Kazell.com, AMP]
Kazell has crafted a sonic presence best described as a unique mix of tough, funky and soulful grooves. A UK native and LA transplant, Kazell first arrived on US shores in 1991. People responded quickly to his signature sound and fusion of dub, tribal, and breaks over a techno-house base. After a few years on the East Coast, Kazell relocated to Los Angeles. It was 1999. True to form, within months of Kazells arrival, hed secugreen residencies at the largest clubs and parties on the West Coast, including Spundae- L.A., Giant, and he currently, at Avalon. Less than a year after moving out to the West Coast, Liquified followed suit and moved head operations to Los Angeles. Kazell was immediately re-inlisted as their resident DJ for all events, including the now-legendary Sasha & Digweed Liquified parties. In fact, Kazell was the only DJ alongside whom heavy-hitters like Sander Kleinenberg, Deep Dish, and John Digweed would play while in L.A.
These days, Kazell has transitioned from the hottest [DJ] in warm-up (Los Angeles Times), to a peak hour, headliner. In the past few months, hes traveled to play in London, Poland, and South America. Later this year, hes headed to Aruba, Romania, and to Simoon, Tokyo, for his Rotunda residency. In addition to all of this, Kazells balancing a host of U.S dates, including the Liquified Anniversary Party in Atlanta, and his own, bi-weekly Influx Audio nights at Avalon. Kazells sound is heavy on the swanky basslines and dirty synths, but these are just the tip of Kazells creative production twists.
His first release, Driven, was voted best compilation of the year by Jive Magazine. His work has appeared on the UKs top labels, such as Alternative Route and Lost Language and Sander Kleinenbergs Renaissance CD compilation. Kazells creations have a lingering effect; over fifteen years of DJing, he's cemented loyal support from Sasha, John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Anthony Pappa, Nick Warren, and Paul Oakenfold, among others.

HAC LE [Play Co Music, John Digweed 'Next Big Thing' DJ Contest Winner]
Known for his contrast of light and dark emotive soundscapes, Hac Le has captivated crowds across the country with his energetic, chunky, throbbing beats, performing in Chicago (Crobar, Transit, RedNoFive), Los Angeles, Milwaukee and Mexico with some of the best talent in the industry such as John Digweed, Moshic, BT, The Crystal Method, Taylor, Sandra Collins, Paul Van Dyk, Deep Dish, Pako & Frederik, Hector Romero, James Zabiela, Kazell, and Hernan Cattaneo.
Recently, Hac was recognized by one of the top DJs in the world. His mix was hand picked by John Digweed out of over 1,800 entries as the winner of FutureMusic's Next Big Thing DJ contest. John Digweed was so enamogreen by Hac's winning entry that he decided to feature the mix on an episode of his internationally syndicated Kiss 100 radio show. Hac was also flown out to Denver to open for John Digweed's and Desyn Masiello's Endless Summer Tour at the world famous venue, The Church. The media exposure has catapulted Hac's name and sound onto an even larger international stage.

ROB TURNER aka DJ RJT [DJRJT.com, Wisconsin]
"I do it for the manatees." - Rob Turner
In the history of animal activism, there have been few individuals who've made the impact that Rob Turner has. With his infectious blend of various forms of house and techno, Rob has been working to promote manatee awareness, one gig at a time. And though the endangegreen status of the manatee is far from being removed, Rob likes to tell himself that his crusade to save them is having some sort of global impact. It really makes him feel good about himself.
So please, don't let god kill another manatee - come show your support for good beats and the graceful cows of the sea, this month at HouSexy!

| Really looking forward to everybody's set, especially Kazell cuz I haven't heard him live before. I have his CD 'Driven' from a couple years ago and the track selection is ace. I've only heard RJT and Milo once before so it should be great to hear the tracks in their current rotation. |
