Is that all you stayed for was 3 1/2 hours? If so then of course you didn't give him time.DT usually starts that way building his sets up but later on into the night he just gets ing nasty.Thats why I when I do go see DT is around 4am - on.
Burridge party was dope but the DT parties were better.
Next time don't go so early and you'll know what i'm talking about.:) |

Sorry Mel i didnt go tonight because i've got some family going on that puts this on a backseat.I planned on going all week until my plans changed Thurs.
Melly i never said DT was any good.Rizzo did and he likes Sleepdish so go figure. Ive never seen him live,but have herd older and newer sets from him.You are very correct about Burridge though,you dont get to hear the Leeeeeeeee drops,ever.He drops tons of "un-released" that nobody has because he puts it on vinyl only.I have herd sets from DT that are pretty good but the quality on all the ones i have are .
I have herd mixed reviews about DT,he's a legend but just because the guy was a legend at one time at Twilo in Ny in like the mid 90's doesnt make him good now.Maybe some other guy is making a name for himself in NY (Boris/Burridge)???? Besides who gives a about NY they love Jonathen Peters.........Seems like if you can throw down a marathon then you are instantly credible in the eyes of methcrazed NY's.Although Morillo is one of my fav party dj's and he hails from NY.So i do give Ny credit for that one,thanx NY!!
Im sure that DT is highly skilled because he has stood the test of time,not looks wise but musically.
Some people have said the same thing you said Melly,that he gays out on occasion,thats why i like Lee he would never spin gay music only mind music.
Listen to Lee's sets you will never find a mixing mistake or homoerodic melodies.I challenge anyone to that,i will buy you as many drinks as it takes to get drunk and i have more Lee sets than anyone that you will ever meet except maybe Lee himself who has given me some of the more rare ones.
No one beats Lee,no one!!!!!!

the one thing bout DT is that he is one of very few DJs who can throw down 4 decades of dance music in a set and mix it flawlessly.
DT will thrown tech, trance, house, tribal and any other genere in his sets

DT is by far the bst all around dj out there....like leo said indeed, YOU DONT GO TO DT PARTIES TILL AFTERHOURS! or you go and chill for 4-5 hours listening to very groovy beats that arent supposed to get u jumpin, just setting the mood
its not that hard a concept, he is a true marathon dj, not like the trance and regular prog jocks we all see that bang the from the moment they go on till the moment they go off...we couldn't make it last nite and i really wish i would of cause every time ive seen him there is really nothing like from 5 am onwards....nothing, he is by FAR the best there is, and that opinion is known throughout the house community.

So don't come on here talking about DT sucked when u weren't even there for the part that you would actually enjoy, he plays marathons, not the 40. so the quickness dont come till the end.
and zakdog comparing DT to lee burridge is apples and oranges, in fact comparing DT to any other dj on the circuit is wrong , and you all know who i like the best, and DT is is better than them all when it comes to creating a journey, no other can keep people on the dance floor for 20 + hours as hes done before and at least 10 on the regular besides him adn Oscar G... and who is Oscar's mentor and person he looks up to the most? u guessed it DT , just as every other dj out there knows that he is one of the reasons they all can make alot of money now.
i have to stop i feel like i should be paid for this lecture. ffs if you arent one to deal with no crazy energy chill beats till early morning then dont go to a DT party till 5, go to some horrid armin van buuren party and jump up and down like a retard while he pretends to be jesus.
and btw my intel has told me that this party although not packed went psycho dt from 5am till noon, as he brought out the classics, sick acid house and as always his techno treats, find another dj who can mix in and out of all these genres and keep it all in sync, i promise you wont
i wont be missing the all day sunday classics p arty at twilo during wmc and for any of you that want o see him rock a room from 8 am till tpm then ill c u there! |

well i dunno but to start off the way he did was bleh.
It's his bday I'm sure he can start off pumpin' and end up banging. Morrillo does it and so do other marathon dj's
when i got home i talked to my bf about it and he told me there were "Be Yourself" parties in upstate new york that were also nick named "Be By Yourself"
it's not my cup of tea and the opening dj wasn't even close to my cup of tea.

This is will probably be one of the worst nightsin my lifeeeeeee... When I saw teckniqueZ about a couple of fruity pebbles here and there, I was ok with that, but with what I saw yesterday. I can not tell my coworkers or my parents or I will be kicked out of my home and never be talked to again. The wierdest bunch crowd and dancers :stongue: , and retired folks I have ever seen!!!!! And to answers Dt question about attending his party for WMC, the answer is NO!!!! :happy2: The only good thing that happened last night was, the free shirt Mel got :wtf: |

i can easily understand that its not for everyone, that is ok just like avb is not for me. i too wont go to parties that i dont like, DT really is a different breed and maybe u dont like that type of marathon, i understand the comparison to moriilo, but morillo is a banging it out hardstyle house dj, not and ecletic true journey creator. he brings along ass party not a built set as DT or Howells marathons as well, both are good in their own right, its that all these other dj's have looked to DT for guidance, he is the one who really made it big first as an underground house dj.
debate will always be had in our type of music cause of all the different styles in the end it really is all about having a good time and just to BE YOURSELF, which is DT's trademark, whether being yourself is being ing freak like u see at DT or a crazy trancer at AvB its all good just party!
i know i always have a good time :D |

| someday when you guys break out of fairy tale world of cookie cutter fluff trance, you will understand a true techncian like DT. im not saying that im DT's biggest fan, i attended like 3 marathons of his at the old space, but the guy is a master at how he builds a set. yes his sets have their lulls, at times are a bit monotonous, but that just prepares u for the crescendos that inevitably come later in the nite, or early morning if you will. you really have to step into a DT set and LISTEN, its almost like a meditation, than he gets you and you take off. its a different kinda of clubbing experience, and u really have to have an evolved, learned ear to truly appreciate it. im not saying you guys are wrong, the beginnings of his sets are a bit boring but if you stick it out chances are u wont be disappointed. that being said DT is not for everyone and either is true marathon set, i completely undrestand if he is not ur cup of tea, but DT is an icon of EDM.:wtf: :D ;) |
