Though the amount of traffic TA gets, it must cost helluva a lot for
server space. |
you dont even know how much. when i first heard i was shocked. i know ta is big and all but i didnt think it would've cost that much in servers alone. HA said it costs them $600/year. thats got nothing on TA. |

if you think about it msn.com gets more hits...everysingle internet explorer comes with msn.com set up as the home page and not alot of people change it..so everytime someone opens up explorer, msn gets a hit. i personally have google because a) i have mozilla and b) it doesnt take a long time to load up
so i can see why msn is more than google
and ebay/myspace/facebook...those are all web sites that get multiple hits from the same person per day...they always check back for updates..unlike google when u use it only when you have to as a search engine |
The google one was for google.CA
The estimated value of http://google.com is: $607,000,000
A lot more believable, and when you take into the fact that all of Google's domains is the same company, it turns to be quite a lot of value.
Also, I'm wondering if this DNS test includes subdomains of Google, such as http://local.google.com
P.S. Jamie, I had no idea your TA tag was that geeky. |

I'm sure it would omit any sub-domain specified. And it would be somewhat hard to get much money from selling a sub-domain. :)
edit: nm I guessing you meant if it would factor in any existent sub-domains as well. |
