okay. Stereo is a great club, and Montreal is a great city (to visit :D), but I wouldn't really want to live there.
Personally, I have found most of Stereo's talent bookings pretty lame for my tastes. Yeah, there's the odd gem here and there, and that's fine - I'll time my visits accordingly. ;)
I'll say though that Toronto has a really strong house following. There's huge demand and it will happen - it'll be diven more underground, and that's a really healthy thing for both the music and the scene. The underground club scene may be at a low point now, but it's going to rise again soon, I have every confidence. It always has and it always will.
You can't keep house heads down and the Toronto heads will keep it alive, it is a truth! |

Toronto it's a beautiful city, clean, organized and WORKS very well.... Probably the most intelligent city in all of North America. But beautiful buildings and clean streets don't equate to a GREAT, VIBRANT city....
Montreal may not have the above qualities in the same degree than Toronto, but it's A CITY WITH SOUL! It's vibrant, unique and has a character of its own, something that Toronto (that tries too hard to be like New York) probably will never have.
Toronto is a good city to work and make money, but that's about it. Its citizens are seriously SOCIALLY RETARDED, afraid of human contact, warmth and even EYE CONTACT. But maybe it's just its VICTORIAN heritage to be blamed.
And when it comes to nightlife, WELL... the quality of Toronto's entertainment district doesn't come close to match its size. So Montreal exceedingly surpasses Toronto in this respect. PERIOD.
