STDs. Seriously. (pg. 2)

Most of the "bad sounding" statistics you hear are cherry-picked and weasel-worded to support a particular agenda. It's not nearly as common as most folks would have you think - although that's not to suggest one shouldn't take precautions regardless.

Personally, I'm not dating, so I don't have to worry about it. But even if I were, I doubt I'd give it much thought.

Guys can't be tested for everything (example- HPV).

Your fear is perfectly reasonable. There are a few viruses that cannot be protected with a condom and that can be scary for a woman. HPV is scary and 80% of the sexually active population have it and no signs are shown amongst them.

There are 4 easy rules:

  1. No testing, no raw bonking.
  2. No problem, yes raw bonking.
  3. Otherwise, never raw bonking.
  4. Also, never bonking, never pee-burning.

i am definitely worried. that's why i mentioned before, if i ever broke with my boyfriend, i'd worry about the next guy i would get together with.

and sometimes you need to be careful even when you have a boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife because they can cheat and bring you back something, so when you're in a relationship, sometimes you're not all that safe.

if stds weren't in existance, i'd want to sow my wild oats with plenty of hot guys, but since so many people are irresponsible with how they handle ther sex lives, then that.

that's simple law of averages. if you're dating casually, the chances of marching through your twenties without catching a lil' somethin' are slim but not impossible.

I get tested every 6 months and have always been clean. happened and then well abstinence time.If you live your life in fear you will miss out on too much.Take precautions to protect yourself and suck as much dick as you can while you can because at 50 it isnt std's you will worry about.Fear of the cooter drying up and becoming a wasteland of flappy flesh will take over. You are only young once.

Just make sure you use condoms and be smart. I’m a little fearful of it myself which is why I see the gyno twice a year instead of once. I go about every 6 or 7 months and I always tell him to run cultures and urine tests on me. I know I look like a hypochondriac but it’s such a pain to get an appointment with an gyno, I might as well take advantage and have him check everything instead of just doing a pap and sending me home.

If you are THAT fearful (and strictly monogamous when it comes to sex) then tell your partner to get tested before you decide to become sexually active.

i do too, im a huge hypochondriac so every time i had sex i end up guilt tripping myself into thinking ive got something, but then again im not in a relationship so...i also have a hard time trusting people too
squirrelly
I'm terrified of them. I've seen someone that had herpes on their mouth, and a week later it had cleared and it didn't even look like he had anything at all... scary! I'm sure the next girl he kissed wasn't expecting his nice little present :wtf: Not only that but a lot of STDs [HPV etc] it doesn't matter if you use a condom, you can get them.

No worries for me, 3 years and going with the same guy.
