Banging trance is fine for dancing up a storm. Down and dirty prog/house is cool for getting your groove on. and all those other fat electro beats are a good motivator for doing the robot dance...

but..

sometimes i need some nice chill music to play in the background so that i can let my brain process, while i study or read. i definitely cannot study with 200bpm trance blasting in the background.

so w/o further ado, my list of my favorite 'brain music'... hopefully some of you guys can agree/disagree, and maybe share some tunes that i haven't heard b4!

ALBUMS
* BT - This Binary Universe (a modern masterpiece)
* Ulrich Schnauss - A Strange and Lonely Place
* Ulrich Schnauss - Far Away Trains Passing By (so beautiful... +_+ )
* Dousk - D.I.Y. (a prog genious)
* Moshic - Salamat CD2 (chillout)
* Willam Orbit - Hello Waveforms (very underrated album, very intelligent, from the man who produced Madonna's Ray of Light album)
* Chicane - Behind the Sun
* Chicane - Far From the Maddening Crowds
* Kaito - 100 Million Light Years
* Sarah Mclachlan albums
* Nobuo Uematsu Piano Compositions (the man behind the epic Final Fantasy tunes)

* Matthew Adams - Sunscape, Brightest Star
* Lux - Northern Lights
* Mirco De Govia - Voller Stern
