Arnold's is ok, although, if I can recall, it was a frozen patty, but not 100%. If you're in that end of town, you should go to P&J's burgers at lakeshore west of dixie..a bit seedy looking, but they do it right.
Also, if you're in the east end of Scarberia, Shamrock burgers in highland creek has a decent homeburger...skip the rings, though. |

| I really liked Johnny's... my Dad used to take me there as a kid when I visited my grandparents in Toronto. I haven't been to most of the other places you guys have mentioned. |

| So, I'm hearing a lot about the golden star burger...I was trying to find the restaurant, but there are four or five different golden stars listed...does anyone know where the one this thread references is located? thanks... |

| Ok, so I just had a burger shack burger, and I have to say it really is one of the best burgers I've had in the city. Not only was the burger big enough to fill the bun, the bun was toasted nicely, and wasn't too big. There wasn't too much spice in the burger, also, as a bonus, the fries were actually fresh cut and cook on the spot. They also have the widest selection of canned drinks I've seen in a long time, another bonus. My only grievance is that the onions were cubed, and the toppings went on in a weird fahion, although, in this case, made little difference in the overall quality. |

Ok ... I gotta throw my hat into the ring this one...
Burger Shack is a killer burger ...classic greasy grill kinda burger, & so damn tasty.
But lately the prime rib burger at Pogue Mahone on College (1/2 way between Yonge & Bay on the south side) is soooooooo damn good...perfect mix of spice, great grill flav. & a killer horseradish dijon served up on it ... oh so damn good... this burger has become at least monthly ritual for many of us at SBR. |
