I am in desperate need of some help

I have recently gotten a virus called
BKDR_ACEBO.A and its infecting the file C:\Windows\System\ghbpie.exe
i have no idea what this file is, but all i do no is that it is making everything on my pc really slow. Ive tried everything i can think of and am desperate for any suggestions.
Does anyone no if this is an essential file? could i maybe just delete it straight of my harddrive or would that feck everything up?

sombody has put a backdoor trojan on ur pooter
get some anti-virus software and remove the backdoor...
i recommend mcafee...[once installed it gets straight to werk]

I wonder how the hell you get these viruses, dont download anything dodgy and you will be fine :)

there are freeware style cleaners.. try searching on google..
i cannot remember one link for the life of me though. sorry..
try getting freeware McAfee, worst case |

ive searched for it but cannot find a free demo, or warez version. Id buy it, but atm have about 70pence to my name. I have Trend PC-Cillin but thats just totally e. All it does is finds the virus and then tells me it cant delete of cure the infected file. Is there anywhere else i can download mcafee? even if its just a 30day trial thingy or summing |

I downloaded norton 30 day trial, my neighbour gave me trend pc cillin, downloaded the link from jon, tried flys pc free housecall thingy, mcafee from killadj, and many many more. A combination of all of these have helped remove viruses i didnt no i had and have quaranteened the rest. First thing i do when i next get paid is go and buy norton. Thanks again for everyones help. |

ON the subject of computer problems, I have a major problem:
I've lost Microsoft Word!
A few weeks ago I went to double click into Word and I got some message saying my comp couldn't find this programme or something, and asked if I wanted to use notepad instead as I recall.
I have tried the "Find" function, but Word seems to be gone from my computer! Along with quite a few important Word documents.
Is there any way to get MS Word without paying about £100 for Office again???
This is a real bummer, notepad is ! |

YO you should have norton to check every file that you DL or receive for viruses. Might seem a little annoying at first but hell its worth it!!
And for your MS word problem, why don't you just borrow an MS office CD from a friend and install it again? |

If I uninstall the other Office programmes I've got like MS Paint, will I lose the save dfiles or anything else?
In short, is it safe to uninstall what I've got now without losing saved files? |
