| what are your thoughts on remakes of old skool traks....my opinion is to leave them alone...they are classics never to be touched...like matt darey - beautiful ..leave it alone....just my .02 |

| I agree with u on most of the trax, but in some cases it's very nice to have a remake, 'cause an artist has found something to improve from the original. But then again on some trax it's not really necessary to do a remake or a remix every year or many times a year(Binary Finary - XXXX or XXXX - Children). |

i do kind of agree...if ain't broke don't fix it
BUT on the other hand they are useful for reminding us just how good the original version was and so it regenerates the interest in a classsc track.
Take N-Trance - set u free. (rob searle remix)
When this was released last yr, the 1995 orig version eneded up getting more airplay. I personally thought the remix was v good and didn't get enough exposure.
Overall i reckon they are good either way:
1/ If you like the remake, then your really happy to hear one of your all time fav s getting a reboot (you wouldn't see Starfox or toronto complaining if Pvd did a 2002 remake of 'angel'
2/If u don't like the remix, just ignore it, it'll only go to show how much of a classic and just how brill the orig was! |

as long as remakes aren't replacing the original, what's the problem?
if remakes are bad why are remixes okay? just leave it alone, right? |

| Its all about money guys!! WOT ISNT!! If a track raked in the dosh the first time round, change it a bit a few years later and there u have a pot of gold. Originality is the key, leave em alone :P |

I think the original artist who created the original classic track should make a remake, but just make it feel like the same track except sounding more modern. Dont get it? For example:
System F - Out Of The Blue 2002
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Trans Atlantis Mix)
These tracks have the same melody and everything, and basically sound the same as the original version made in 1999, except it sounds like you made it this year. Those are the kind of remakes I like to see. |

| sometimes it can be good but most of the time bad. The only really good one (in my opinion) is the Alex Gold version of Agnelli & Nelson's 'Everyday'. Everything else either is too much of a departure from the original (like the new remixes of 'Beautiful') or just booty (Jam and Spoon 'Be Angled') |

| I agree that it is nice sometimes to hear a remake of a classic tunes. It brings back memories. |
