Radiohead Live: your experiences

I was ripping some more CDs to my computer last night and I came across my Radiohead collection when I suddenly thought about how these guys would perform live (I was mega-baked!). I have not seen them live nor are they visiting my area anytime soon (according to their website).

I have seen them perform 'The National Anthem' on Saturday Night Live once in the past and was completely blown away by the performance; which raises the question:

Have u seen Radiohead live? And if so...what type of experience did u get from it? What did u like? What didnt u like? (Atmosphere, people, sound, etc.)

Amazing live show, and totally worth it as long as you can deal with being surrounded by your typical Radiohead fans (which can definitely be a stretch at times).

Yup, I saw them live in May last year.

Needless to say, it was an unbelievable experience...inspirational performances from all band members. It's hard to describe why Radiohead live is such an amazing experience, but hearing tracks like 'Karma Police' and 'How To Disappear Completely' live and seeing Thom Yorke pouring it out on stage is just incredible, something that will stay with you forever.

At the risk of infuriating mikey & others, muse live is far superior. It's nice to see a band who sound as good if not better live than on a cd. The same can't be said for a couple of others i've come across.

Haven't seen them live but they have a live album called "I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings." I doubt this comes close to the experience of seeing them live in person but you might want to check it out to hear what they sound like live.

Same goes for Nine Inch Nails if youre into their stuff. Their live performances sound 10 ing times better than their cd's. They don't just play it, they immerse you into the experience and concert, at points its ing unreal. Their backdrops and art at the concert is mind blowing too

True Muse is definately the best live band these days. They sound so much better live with their load of effects, improvisations, screaming high pitched voice, stage performance etc. At the moment my favourite band for sure.
But as far as Radiohead goes, I think they are definately worth seeing live too. There music is already complex enough on cd, I think it's an achievement for them already if they sound just like on cd.
Though they sound better then on cd, Muse give their songs a whole new dimension live.
