And I'm not good at it; obviously. I get dupped all the time.
But how can you really go about re-vamping everyhting like that? It's not like you can return the people you know to blockbuster and check out new ones. You can't go to the bar and stroll up to someone and go "hey... wanna be friends?" they'll think you're a nutjob! |
There is no magic bullet but you just need to start paying more attention to ppl behavior and when you see something you don't like you don't ignore it. You just need to start spending less time with these types of "friends". As far as finding trust worthy ppl maybe you need to look else where, other than bar/dance clubs. You'll find groups/clubs with constructive activities that don't involve drugs would be a step in the right direction. For example take dancing lessons or join a dance group. The rest will take care of itself. |

i have had plenty of problems with some of the people i was friends with. some of them were only there to stick around if i broke up with my boyfriend (one of them actually told me he really never intended to be my friend and he was only there so when i broke up with my bf, he could try).
my best friend that i used to be friends with was a backstabbing person and i never saw it coming...we were best friends from 5th grade all the way till my second year of college.
some people i have dealt with were hardly there when i needed them...
i woke the hell up and realized i needed to get some better friends. i was a little ignorant to avoid having girls as friends because i felt i couldn't trust them but then i realized that obviously not all girls are backstabbing. |

Sound like a familiar tale.... But Realizing it is the easy part. It's not like you can pick up good friends at CVS. I'm not necessarily resistant to girl friends; I just don't really have many/any. I work with old people, and go out scene wise so I don't have to stay home with the cats all the time... doesn't necessarily shed light to a solution. |
