Hi, David and Irving here,

We'd like to announce an event we have upcoming these spring days - our annual Chamber event.

Promise Chamber 7

Sunday March 11th

At ArraySpace, 4pm til 11pm

60 Atlantic Ave, unit 218, in Liberty Village - 3 blocks east of King and Dufferin then south on Atlantic

Each spring we host a unique event called Chamber that intermingles the
uncommon threads between electronic music and classical music. Over the afternoon and evening, we hear people produce lovely tones and melodies with Violins, piano, voice and the circuits of electronic music gear. And all the time in a nice relaxed casual environment.

It's a free afternoon evening held at Arrayspace, a rehearsal and performance space for avant-classical and world music groups. The place is lined with shelves of neat drums and instruments from people who practice there, and is right in the Liberty village near King and Dufferin.

This event features at its centre Dave's dad, Angus Macleod, playing the piano. Angus has performed and taught piano, pipe organ, singing and music theory for over 40 years. He was the choir director in Simcoe Ontario for 30 years and a strong music community grew up around him, having taught many of the other music teachers in the area.

Before and after Angus set, there will be a mixture of other performances of classical music and electronic listening and grooving music. The night is split into dedicated performances separated by electronic interludes, so there are times to focus followed by periods to chill and talk. Come early, relax, and stay awhile.

Here are the people involved:

Angus Macleod - classical piano
Madison Reid - angus' granddaughter piano duet
Glynis Ratcliffe - opera singer
John Kameel Farah and Rick Hyslop - minimal piano, laptop, violin and effects.
Dreamstate - ambient keyboard veteran duo
Pholde - metal sculpture sounds and effects
Stephan Vera aka Technostep - piano, laptop, jazz and minimal tech
Marcus Wong - classical guitar
Julie Loveless - classical piano
Aia - electro ambient dj set
Mentalfloss - experimental dj sets
