| Hi, just wondering if anybody has been been or is going to the conference that can give me any advice on it? Done Ibiza every year so thought for a change that ill try out the yank clubbing but going into it a bit blind. Been reading up on it on the florida section, just after a bit of advice from the brit prospective. Can anybody help out? cheers. |

theres the official wmc website that lists all the parties that are going on plus theres 100s of unofficial parties and after parties too.
its mainly one big wheeling and dealing fest for industry bigwigs with a few messy parties inbetween but also a giant road test for every dj/artist to try out new stuff so its best to have a good look through whos playing where etc.
obviously all the big names are there plus alot of unsigned up and coming djs who may be worth checking out.
the big nights are usually ticket only and pretty expensive so best to order before you go, then theres the ultra music festival too with pvd etc at the end of the confrence.
they also have events and seminars during the day for the entire week which if your into technology, legal issues, music business etc etc then they are worth checking out. also alot of new music thats unsigned is everywhere so keep your eyes open and you might find a few quality rare tunes.
i think above and beyond are hosting a night over there where theyre gonna be testing out new material but thats an exclusive event so check their site/myspace for info but sounds good. |
