He has been usin' the Pryda alias for every single production lately so he can get enough tunes on his album, so that might be why. I love all of them so far, but the last uber hit to show up under it was Shadows. |
so he will put out an album and whore the tunes out before the release of said album ? |

I've rated Pryda extremely high since Human Behaviour/Lesson One and Do It/Spooks, which were both GREAT releases, but i think things have all gone a bit downhill since Aftermath. |
For sure, Do It/Spooks is one of my favorite releases of all time, and I like the Sheridan stuff he's putting out along with some of the Cirez D material, but "Remember," "Frankfurt," this, "Rene," and "Seadweller" (some of which I realize are older) have all just left me pretty disinterested. |

| I see whatchu' mean now. Do It and Spooks were more of dancefloor killers, whereas all the stuff under Pryda hes been putting out lately is either towards the minimal side or really pretty. The only stuff thats completely bangin' anymore is like you said, under Sheridan or Cirez D. |

Samey, perhaps, but that's what Pryda tracks are about, he gives us a 1 bar riff that repeats endlessly, 3 minute breaks where the riff keeps going with a tiny little hihat, perhaps a small string section, then it continiues just like before for another minute before the bassline comes in and already there with just a synth riff and a bassline you feel like you wanna dance your ass off. Then he throws in a huge sweep that lasts at least one minute and makes everybody go deaf and finally, finally kick and snare come back, bom tchss bom tchss, and you have what feels like the biggest climax ever while there are just a handful of sounds.
Rymd is ok, it's certainly not a tune i'm gonna remember but it's highly enjoyable and head nod-friendly and there is no need to explain what i think would happen if i heard in on a dancefloor. :happy2: |

| Pryda is no minimal, stop using the word because its cool lol. Its just good, usually melodic, detroit-influenced techno/house nothing more nothing less and its good for what it is. |

Detroit?
Prydz' strings are so devoid of soul, that comment is an insult to the motor city techno community. |

| I'm not callin' him minimal... Hes definitely far from it! His tracks just don't have a lot of elements usually. ;) |
