If you are looking for cheap and just wanting to learn vinyl, just go to guitar center and get one of those DJ in a box set. That's what Dave has and he is AWESOME....AWESOME I SAY.

I'm curious about what makes you willing to spend so much money for traditional turntables? Nowadays, it's a bit more cost effective to purchase digial CD turntables. The price of vinyl is always high, you need to wait for each record to arrive and it demands proper cleaning after some time. With Digital turntables you can buy your music with better sound quality these days, some might argue that, as vinyl has its own charm. However, you will save yourself alot of money if you consider investing in mp3 turntables, you can then use your extra money for buying music. :)

i rarely do vinyl now a days. but when getting started on djing i always say if you can use turntables you can use any cd player. so go for the turntables but if u wanna avoid throwing away money then just buy a pair of good turntables instead. actually ill sell you mine. when we have a practice dj session you can be the judge. im gonna save up for the 1210m5g tables !
