I may just do that. I am curious what this bagel is though? If a toaster is big enough for a bagel, wouldn't it be too wide to put bread inside? Like a toothpick in a volcano.  |

You just said you use thick bread anyway.
A properly sliced bagel is about 1.5cm in thickness. I assume your toast to be between 1 and 1.2cm...so thats not much a difference. |
