Now? Those places had been around for 20 years in Atlanta and were always known as black gay clubs. Both places were very intereting to go to on the nights that were definitly the "gay" nights. Lorettas closed about 6 years ago. Loretta had passed and it slowly went downhill. The Warehouse closed around 2002. One of the owners had been killed execution style and his car torched with him in it. The other owner just didn't to much with the place after that and he closed it down. It was located over by centennial park.

Keep in mind that Atlanta wouldn't even have a club scene if it wasn't for Backstreet.

Never went to Wetbar when it was Blu but heard it's a pretty nice place and looking forward to Armin on Thursday.

If you have a negative attitude about a place before you even go, then you shouldn't go to begin with.

And if you're not comfortable enough with your own sexuality to socialize with someone of a different orientation, maybe you shouldn't be in Atlanta :p

I'm still tentative as for this party. Haya supposedly ordered a ticket for me for my birthday, of which I have not seen anything in the mail show up (she ordered it via Ticketmaster since she didn't know any better).

In any case I'm supposed to go with a gaggle of hoodlums. I'll order a ticket myself if they come and pick me up free of charge, but if they don't, well then I don't have the money to afford this.

I kinda sorta want to go though. : |

Armin did really well in 2005, and decently in 2006, and I haven't heard much from him in 2007, so at least this time it'd be a surprise.

Armin tickets are being sold through www.wantickets.com not ticketmaster. PVD tickets are the ones being sold through ticketmaster.

:( for the 21+ only. Don't feel like shelling out for a fake ID; got plenty of fraternity bros that can pick up liquor for me...so I'd essentially be paying $50 + $20 just to see Armin. Sorry Armin, you're that good but I don't have the money.

Sad too because I've really enjoyed my times at Eleven50. Up front was sometimes a pita because of young punks pushing and shoving, but otherwise I loved the vibe. I guess he got tired of the idiots that ruined it for everyone else.

Anyone know for sure why a DJ would go somewhere else after a history at once place? Are the DJs the ones that stipulate the crowd age, or does the venue choose that? Maybe they just offered him more money.

Um, Eleven 50 is shut down until May or so, which is why Armin isn't there. If Eleven 50 was open I can almost assure you that Armin would be playing there and it would be 18+. Wetbar probably has their own agenda with the age limit which is why it's 21+.
