Must-have 80s tracks...

So I'm gonna be doing a gig at this South Beach mansion next week and the organizer wants house but also some 80s thrown in. The house I've got no problem, but I'm very thin on 80s. I was born in '84 so a lot of the stuff was before my time. Of course I've got some Micheal Jackson and some of the really big hits (ie: Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, etc.), but can you guys suggest some other good 80s stuff with a good groove to it? Maybe some stuff with synths like artists like Pryda and Kris Menace try to emulate today with their tracks.

Any help would be great!

If it's an 80's club track you're looking for, then New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle is your answer. Most anything else by New Order will work too. Blue Monday, True Faith, etc.

Also, Cabin Crew - Waiting For A Star To Fall is a new house version of an old 80's song.

Prince - Kiss (Daft Punk Remix) too.

Just some thoughts off the top of the head.

Yes, if he wants to do a house set at 170 bpm.

Other A-Ha tunes like The Living Daylights or The Sun Always Shines On TV would be more appropriate. :)

blondie - heart of glass

yeah it's from '78 but this is a guaranteed floorfiller. also search for some best of 70s and 80s collections on discogs
