| bush signed a law last year putting it 4 weeks earlier and putting it back four weeks later... so it changes today and goes back in november =) |

You haven't watched the news for over 1 week, have you?
Obnoxiously, it's all they've been talking about, referring to it as a "mini-Y2K" because people might miss their meetings by an hour for the next 3 weeks if they don't install an Outlook patch. :rolleyes: @ media. |

mann what IS it with the government, wanting to 'save' energy by doing this 3 wks earlier...and making it more inconvenient for ppl and institutions (i think the news mentioned the NYSE as well) -- then again since WHEN has the government really cared about whats good for the rest of the nation HAH
i admit it IS nice to have a day that lasts longer, esp as the days grow warmer...
also i think the U.S. is the only country that practices this. |

dude, whatchu talkin about!! most of the world practices daylight savings!! sure the media is nuts, of course i agree with that, but i am ALL FOR this one!!! love having it lighter outside!! (ok im in germany at the moment but ill be looking forward to it when i get back home!!)

There's still the same amount of daylight, it just starts an hour later, so you get to enjoy it after work. Why we don't leave it like it is all summer is the part that I don't get. All winter, the only time I see daylight is when I walk to work in the morning. |
