I get it, it's just that i prefer watching it narrated by people who aren't high on speed, neither feel the need to make the show themselves by screaming euphoric all over the place.
Except when it's Porto playing, then there's good reason for screaming euphoric everywhere cause i'm jumping at every goal too. :wtf: |

People who say "People from [country] are stupid" are stupid. |

In this thread, 2 sports have been discussed.
They are:
Football (Soccer to the native Yanks)
and
American Football.
That is all. |

ok well this is an ignorant comment...
if i deciphered the poorly constructed phrase correctly then i think he's trying to say that "soccer" is a sport?
that is...the....farthest...from....the truth.....
1) fouls are a strategic element of the game
2) fouls are argued in "soccer" because they are more ambigous(sp) than in american football
american football is a lot slower than "soccer", plus there are several refs watching each play, as opposed to "soccer" where there is just one dude covering the whole field essentially...(sideliners don't count...)
also, calls in "soccer" are made in the moment, meaning that they hardly ever refer to instant replays like they do in american football.
these are just a few of the reasons why you see more arguing in "soccer"...
3) people punch in american football?
4) "soccer" takes lots of stamina...they are constantly running around the field and don't get many breaks....when they do, they adjust their gear -- their socks...
oh...and it would be funny to see you even attempt to play "soccer" i'm sure you would last
 |

It's not your culture, so you don't understand.
I'd rather watch sports commended by people like them than the boring american ones who just spout statistics that are fed to them to make up for any really content :p |
