well. the first one (Ryan - Your Mum Is Gone (Movie-Score)) is not so good imo. but, it works!
the secound one (Ryan - The Battle of Adrianople (Film-Score)) got a great story. and I will make more tracks that fill that one. So, I hope I could get a 20-30 min. music preview. just to get a feeling of how I want it. and this wil be the main "hero / melodie part that follows the whole movie. if you understand? :)
I came home from school today, and started to read some roman history. and came over a battle that inspired me very much. its The Battle of Adrianople.

Before I say much else I'm just going to point out that the violins and different vocal tracks sound excellent. Looks like you don't mess around in the sample deptartment.
I listened to Mum is gone first, and I could definatly see this being played as a music score in a movie. Sounds nice. The vocals are an excellent touch. One complaint I have is that the chords don't exactly change much. It seems that the key note is played thoughout the song without too much variation.
I respect your attempt for making the battle song -- as it must be a much greater challange. The trumpets fit well with the song. And, unsuprisingly, the percussions don't really do it for me at the climax. It must be quite tough to make those sound good... but you did a pretty good job.
Nice job overall. |
