Find the first review thread that you ever posted in on TA.
I was reading some old threads from 2005, and it brought back many memories for me. Mostly of how ignorant I was of the scene. And how overly nice I was to everyone. :p
I dug up the review thread of my first EDM experience. It was Marcel Woods @ Viva.

aaah yay I can FINALLY post on a review thread!!! :D
Anyways, this was my first trance event EVER!!!! What a way to start things off! I met so many TAs, but I forget most of your names :wtf: ....but the important thing that i DO remember is that you all have AMAZING ENERGY!!!! :eyespop: You guys kept me going throughout the night ;)
And thanks to everyone who gave me water lol...I sure did need it!
MARCEL WOODS IS ING AWESOME!!!!:eyes:
Barry: thank you so much for dragging my ass to this! I REALLY appreciate everything you did for me! :)
Fahad: Thanks for driving me home! It was great to finally meet you!
And to everyone else: thanks for a great night! I can't wait to see you all again soon! And hopefully next time I will meet some more of you! |

Hahaha, not much of a music review, but at least you understand that I had a good time. As soon as I read it, it instantly made me remember the entire night. It was the first time that I ever met any TOTAs(and I am now really close friends with some of you). Also, it was one of my first times in a club. When I got home, my body was covered in bruises from dancing so hard, lol.
Anyways, the point of this thread is to find and post your first review (and a couple photos if you can find them), and discuss how you felt that night. And how much you have progressed since then.
P.S. It's funny to see how so much flirting used to go on, and now most of you are couples. |

Behold, my n00blar review! (From LoL 05)
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...d=&pagenumber=2
quote: | I got in around 10:30ish (WTF? Line up that big at 10?) and stuck around Charley's for a while. (Caught some 20 mins of Sander but he didn't do much for me)
When Ferry came on, well, my hands didn't come down for first 2 hours. Then arms got kinda tired. :P
I've never seen Ferry live before and he didn't disappoint. The guy looks like he's having the most fun at the club when he's spinning. He's got that look on his face while DJing that he's having so much fun that you're feeling that you're having as much fun as him. It's like Ferry's invited you to his personal party and all he wants you to is to have fun. (Damn those security guards for ruining some of Ferry's fun) There were few spots where I felt he was losing some of the crowd but he dropped Punk and there was that.
Nu-NRG was pretty good too. When they dropped Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (I think it was Nu-NRG's mix) I almost died. I love that tune. But they didn't have Ferry's charisma on deck. I wish they were on longer than an hour.
Infusion was something new to me. Certainly different. The vocal guy's style was to get the crowd involved and he's still learning, I think. But overall an enjoyable set, though not something I want to listen to a lot.
It was like 6 something so I went to Charley's to crash out for 20 mins and then got second wind (who was dropping those tunes? they were awesome). Around 7 got back to Deko Ze and went hard until around 8 and then I called it quits.
Only disappointment I really had was I met no TOTAs! *grumbles something about lack of coordination)
Leave no TAs behind, guys. Let's try to get more new TAs involved.
Hope to see a lot of you at Armin/Infected Mushroom.
PS: Caught some of Mark Oliver too. Damn he's good. |

No - even I have to admit that that was a ridiculous party. Certainly one I won't forget.
As expected, my first review was of Misstress B @ System.
However, I may or may not have posted a pic of myself in the "where are all the trance girls" thread. |

Nice thread.. was interesting scrolling back. I realized I didn't really write many reviews back in the day either. But I found one from Tiesto at Kool Haus is 2002. Ahh the warm and fuzzy days of TOTA.
Thread: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...d=&pagenumber=5
quote: | This party was so easy to predict. It was basically exactly what I expected. A packed crowd, hot and sweaty, and a mostly predictable set from Tijs.
This is not a bad thing though. I heard tons of tracks I wanted him to play and would have been disappointed if they weren't played.
Iio - At the end (scumfrog)
Conjure One - Tears from the Moon (Tiesto ISOS)
Lange - Don't think it feel it
Green Martian - Wizardry ... would have prefered Harmonic Minor
Tomcraft - Loneliness ... Would have been my song of the night if I didn't play it 5 times a day for 2 weeks straight.
Madonna - Die Another Day (Tiesto Dedicated Mix) - OMG first time hearing this track. MY song of the night!
Roc Project - Never (Tiesto mix)
Flight 643 - I loved how the crowd went insane for this one. Would have prefered Lethal Industry though.
Mindcircus was great to hear too!!
+so many more amazing tunes
It was almost surreal looking at Tiesto up on the decks. To me he's no different from than any other huge celebrity and everytime I see him in person I go "holy thats actually Tiesto up there". At times he did seem tired but he was also having a good time. 3 hours and 15 minute set was disappointing a little bit and the lack of an encore was kinda rude. I agree with Swamper that he didn't take it up to the very limit as we hoped. Over all nothing mind blowing. A predictable set with a familiar tracklist but they were songs I liked so its not really a complaint.
After Tiesto went off. Dekoze steps up to the decks and I was shocked and elated as it was not expected. Having seen Dekoze countless number of times I knew that this meant the night was not over. And luckily for Dekoze Tiesto left the roof up for him to bring it down. I was expecting a closer who played something with less tempo. But Dekoze plays it hard funky techy and trancy. Heard some awesome tunes but can't recall many names right now except for better man which was a great closing track.
Parties like this though it is more about the people. And holy crap this was like the whose who of the party scene for me. Ya Highroller that was hilarious when we walked to the washrooms after we got in and I had to say whats up and chat for a sec to about 10 people. It was great to have so many friends there but it made it hard to decided where I wanted to spend most of my time. Eventually I just merged crews with Malice and we took over a corner with more space (special thanks for the after-chill it was awesome!).
Best TA meet up I've ever been to! This is the best group to party with ever! Such a positive vibe. Mad respect! It makes every good party a great one. Met so many for the first time too! Which is always a good thing. There is no hope that i will remember everyone as its seems other have since there was way too many out there.
Shouts:
Malice, Liquidchick and Crew. Spent most of the night with y'all and it was sick. Next time maybe I can plan something for an after-party at my Sis's place so i can return the hospitality.
Sober247 - My Bunring hommie!! That was one excellent conversation we had just b4 4:20 ; We'll link up soon. Cottage crew reunion?
tatgirl - Next time I will smoke ya up but i'll make sure its after.
Mike and Jenna - Since I know that you'll be reading this! We need to spend time in the future. *finds true north card*
Pre-Meet crew - The perfect precurser b4 a party to get you in the right mood.
Luke Fair - 6/10: It got me moving but it also had me standing when I wanted to be moving.
DJ Tiesto - 8/10: Still a good set but he could have done a little better.
Dekoze - 9/10: Didn't steal the show from Tiesto or anything but rocked it still!
Crowd - 6/10: A bit of everything there but there was a vibe in there and People I met were pretty cool. Only can think of 2 idiots that bothered me that night which is good ratio for that venue. But ya bit too crowded.
Sound - 5/10: Loud bass hurts ears.
Overall - 7.5/10
OK damn thats it .. the last time I ever write such a long review. But there was so much to say.
END! |
Its funny to read this now. I think I could recycle this review for any Tiesto party. |

BWHAHAHA AND THEN JEFF REAFED ME OUT FOR MY NOOB COMMENTS!!!

I found that they would start off playing a few tracks I knew, and I would be there singing along...and all of a sudden it would be a 'wtf?' and something totally friggen diff. don't get me wrong, i love listening to old stuff, but if you are gona have a set for the OFFICIAL George Is On tour, I expect to hear the majority of tracks from the cd, and some mainstream fun stuff the whole crowd is gona get driven from... just my humble opinion. |

the cd has been out for a while now, for them to play the majority of the tracks from it would make for a pretty dated set. |
whats really funny is i was in the booth right beside sling and all his friends the entire night and never knew him/ met him... |
