Doesnt anybody think these guys are trying just a LITTLE too hard? okay, tobacco kills, we get it. so does fast food. and so do guns. why arent there these ridiculous commercials protesting both of those?

my guess is that Truth makes a lot of money on this or something. i would ASSUME that it would be a non-profit organization, but theres just no way considering the amount of air time these guys consume. it'd be nice if someone explain to me where Truth gets this funding.

from the tobacco companies.

truth.

The tobacco companies are required to spend X %/$ on promotion of health risk awareness for their products.

If I were them I would fund the most off the wall, crazy, lib protesters I could find so everyone hated them.

Sweet , im as smart as big tobacco.

some of it does seem over the top but i think because alot of kids/teenagers are so easily influenced by stupid things (ex. paris hilton.. OMG SHE IS SO HOT RIGHT NOW I"M GOING TO GO BUY HER TY PERFUME@!!) that they have to pull out captain obvious , and even make it appear a bit trendy in order for them to pay attention. I have seen some commercials suggesting that healthy food won't kill you, but nothing on guns.

gun control is not the answer. want proof? there are more guns the US today that there were 5 years ago yet the murder rate has flat lined or fallen. violent crimes are down from 20 years ago significantly and yet we have many THOUSANDS more guns in our country today than we did then.

the real answer is to teach our kids HOW to use a gun properly and how to handle them around people. teach your kids whats real and whats fantasy. explain to them that movies arent real. keep them in reality by NOT sheltering them. now thats not saying dont expose them to things too early. just dont be overprotective. this will create an "im not telling my parents" situation with MANY things because you freak out over that doesnt matter.

i'd be curious to see where their funding came from
there was an anti-tobacco campaign during i think the 80s (funded by big tobacco) with the memorable slogan 'tobacco is whacko'
ended up getting more people to smoke than it encouraged to quit/not start
LOL

you obviously missed teh funnay. I shoot guns with my dad all the time, i embroidered that quote on a pillow for him to rest the barrel of his riffle on. my experience with gun registry is that it keeps honest people honest.
