Translation (best I could do):
A lot of people knew about Aria turning into a nightclub and theater. Here is the information gathered from the paper La Presse:
The owner of Berri on rue Saint-Denis will transform the building [Aria] into a theater of 800 seats and a nightclub for 700 people.
Gilles Laberge bought Berri in the year 2000 when the old place (a cinema) was closing down. He then created an after-hours, called Aria, that resulted in its doors closing last December 23rd.
Mr Laberge is also owner of Dagobert in Quebec City (better know as "Dag" among French Quebecers) which is essentially a big boxed room with two halls where homage rock groups play and international headliner DJs make appearances.
The bottom floor of Berri will take 680 seats and the main floor will take 104 seats, for a total of 784 places to sit. The nightclub will accommodate 693 people and will feature a fully licensed bar along with its nightclub and theater permits. |

yeah i miss aria too, but if it had stayed around forever, i don't think it would be glorified like it is now...it closed when it was on the downward spiral...would any of you guys really of liked to see it travel into a worse place before closing? nah...me neither. |
