That said, I don't think his movies are all that great. Yes they're funny but the writing is a little bleh. Plus I don't like the way Tarantino talks, I want to slap him in the mouth when he speaks. |

Again, I think he's a touch overrated. A lot of the films he produces are better than the ones he actually directs (Desperado, Hero). I liked Reservoir Dogs and thought the first Kill Bill was a novel concept well-realized... but the rest were either so-so or not very good imo. Lol, he directed an episode of Alias that was better than half of his movies. |

Pulp in' Fiction!!!!
That's one of my favorite movies of all time. so many lines, so many quotes, such a great group of amazing actors.
resivoir dogs is amazing too. that whole scene at the very bigging w/ mister pink talking about tipping. man, what great dialogue!
it's been awhile since i've seen 4 rooms. but i know i liked it.
The Kill Bill series was kickass too. i'd have to say that's #2 after PF |

Indeed, however, the story and screenplay were by Tarantino. Incidently, Tarantino dispises NBK because of how Stone presented it. He's gone on record stating he would prefer his name not be listed in the credits.
Personally, I love Pulp Fiction, primarally because of the unspoken story line which most people have no idea about, so clever.
I think we need to distinguish between movies he's written, directed, produced, and one's where he's done all three. It's the one's he's done all three that are the real jems (Pulp Fiction, Resivoir Dogs, and Kill Bill in that order). Most of what he has written alone is also very good (Natural Born Killers and True Romance are my favs). The movies he has directed but not written are alright but they fall short of his three best by a long shot (4 Rooms being my fav... although he did write part of it). I find the stuff he has acted only as producer on to be (Desperodo anyone?). |
