Nothing at all wrong with taking the easy route.
Efficiency is key in this modern world. |

I agree. But first, I think you should define what anthropogenic means. I am sure that 90-95% of TA has no idea what that is.
Check this out (not to totally hijack):

Once I make the switch to UK-Lex, I will be purchasing some.

Thats awesome, Sam. There are other such local initiatives around here but none like they produce in California. Just make sure that your 30 bucks really is going towards green energy research. And not ethanol or hydrogen cells or biofuel. SUSTAINABLE green energy.
Neat. |

kind of along the same lines as that, i always thought it was cool that many buildings in chicago had green/garden roofs. did you know it's the #3 green city? |

Hydrogen cells won't be sustainable? Isn't that what Iceland is moving toward? I think their goal is to be entirely green by 2008, and cars will have to be hydrogen-powered by law.
I don't know much about hydrogen technology, but it strikes me as strange that there would be a push toward something so unsustainable... although then again, I live near the ethanol capital of the world, which is very proud of that title. |

Its hard to explain, really, but basically its because hydrogen isnt a source of energy, it's an energy carrier. So you have to produce the energy and then process it into the hydrogen. Here is a slide to help illustrate. See how you have to get the initial energy from another source?

Ah, makes more sense now. Thank you. I suppose Iceland recharges the hydrogen cells with their vast supply of geothermal energy. No wonder it's easy for them to make the change, whereas no one else has made an attempt. |
