Seriously!
And what about classics like strings of life, knights of the jaguar?
The list doesn't need to be all electronic but to list "put your hands up for detroit" above classics like these is pretty nearsighted! |

THE SHOW IS CALLED "DANCE ANTHEMS"!!!
Some ignorance in this thread! Wow! Take the time to get a little context before going off on some rant about the list being wrong or not being proper, etc.
The radio show is called "Dance Anthems" which is known for playing classic dance tracks that were big at one point in time. I wouldn't expect the latest tunes, nor would I expect the most underground tunes from a show with such a theme or mandate.
Believe it or not - not everybody in the world listens to EDM as we know it or believe it to be. Nor is the entire world as infatuated with EDM as most of the people on this board are. Nor has every single person who has ever liked dance music continued to keep up with latest tunes.
This "Dance Anthems" episode was a listener voted top 20 list - so if someone listened to Euro in 2001 "Castles in the Sky" may be their pick for top song. The fact that you may only listen to the most "upfront 'choons" doesn't matter one bit to that person and their vote. |

I agree
Though I suppose it's difficult to see it's significance considering cribby was about 12 when it came out |

lol. It hurts my ears...especially after hearing it at least twice during last year's Pride festivities. |

as you wish
I never said that Born Slippy wasn't a good song - it was...until I heard it over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. It wasn't THAT good. |

| I understand this list to be mostly around influential tracks (which is why put your hands up for detroit is pretty funny) - the fact that people still go nuts for this song 10+ years after its release speaks volumes. |

| I still think Yves DeRuyter should be throat punched for making a remix of Born Slippy and not giving Underworld credit |
