Alain Vinet @ Stereo!
Movement returns March 24
Montréal – Friday, March 16, 2007 – DeepSound Promotions are proud to announce that Alain Vinet’s next Mouvement event will be held at Stereo on March 24, 2007.
Alain Vinet will be joined by VJs Circus Maximus and VJ Mainlab to create an all-night visual effect spanning six giant screens. Bodypainting, courtesy of Studios Loka, will be made live, one of many Mouvement surprises.
Influenced by sounds which come from all four corners of the globe, Montréal’s and Canada’s nightlife would not be what it is today without Alain Vinet’s exceptional musical contributions, which span more than 25 years. Many associate him as “Monsieur Stereo”, as his infamous Movement soirées were born at the world-famous Stereo Nightclub in 1999. Alain Vinet, who initially left the club in 2003, returned to Stereo in the summer of 2006 after residencies at Red-Lite in Laval as well as Montréal’s Gravity and Circus.
Alain Vinet began his DJing career in 1978, switching to house in 1994, with his famous Squeeeze nights at Metropolis an early highlight. The versatile veteran has also played the main T-Dance event of Montréal’s Gay Pride since 1999, before joining the world-famous Cirque du Soleil. Alain has since released the double-CD Mouvement on the Cirque du Soleil Musique label on June 21, 2005, one of his many releases.
Furthermore, Stereo has recently been rated #11 on DJ Mag’s “Top 50 Clubs in the World” list, while taking the #2 spot in North America, behind only Miami’s Pawn Shop Lounge, as Ibiza, Spain’s Space topped the global rankings.
Stereo is located at 858 Ste-Catherine Street East in downtown Montréal. Admission is $30.
