I've spent the last few days reading over articles on how to write a good resume but I'm STILL having trouble re-writing mine.
I can sell pretty much anything, but I can't sell myself to a goddamned employer.

Any tips, advice, link, whatever????

Always start with step 1.

I just changed jobs (day 4 of the new one) so I might be able to help...

I would say to use a Word template and fill in your specs. Beyond that, I'm happy to look over your resume and provide some input. English Rachel might me able to help also...

You can e-mail it to me at [email protected] if you're so inclined.

Good luck!

Some serious advice:

Do not use the same resume for every position you apply for. The key is to customize the resume to the type of job you're applying for.

Each job will have different requirements with respect to skills and responsibilities - so tailor your resume to suit.

I've tried using a template and it didnt really work out too well. The resumes I write inform more than sell... I need help selling myself rather than just informing the employer about myself.
