I really hope that I get the chance to see you at a club sometime in the near future.

Hey

Ok what I was trying to convey is:

- Club owners have made the club goers their cash cows.
- Clubs lack production values and local talent.
- I love going out to clubs ,but with current technology and Era ,I think these businesses need to add some bling bling to their venues
more attractions ,variety of electronic music ,etc..

It is a shame that outsiders are coming to Toronto to tell us they are gonna show us how its done and promise us a rebirth, after I looked at the Circa post some Craig is already offering DJ berhouz (excuse the spelling) a new home I don't see this being promoting and supporting local talent and art, right from the get go.

Havent we got enought great dj's here ?

The slight effort in that post is appreciated.

Heres a grammar tip: when in doubt, leave the comma out.

Welcome to TA...

And come on man, the tiesto video...ITS JUST SUBTITLES, you can make subtitles say whatever you want them to, but that doesnt mean that it is an accurate translation of what the person is actually saying.

I remember my first thread when i came into TA not so long ago...i believe it was about my Tiesto shirt...i might be posting a new thread in May for when Infected Mushrooms will be arriving, something about an Infected Mushroom shirt im planning on making

OK show , lets clear up some facts for you

1 Peter gatien is not an outsider from NYC he is CANADIAN, Learn about your club history
2 Craig is Craig Pettigrew of GEM .
3. Hiring US DJ's and from other countries is what brings people to the clubs ---DUH !!
4. Local talent is well represented and until more T.O dj's make international names for themselves they will not always be the headliners, please don't make me list the T.O dj's who are able to fill a club on thier own talent , there are so many (Manzone and Strong, addy, jelo, oliver, sydney blu sean miller , just to name a few).
5 Cash cows ?? , last time I looked a club was a buisness to make money not a friggin charity, they open ,bring the talent you make your choice and come or not , you wanna come , pay the price---simple!!

Bahahahhaa... this guy is for real!?

I am not here to argue

I respect Peter very much he is Canadian , and I love all Toronto Locals and the names you have mentioned . why do you get so offended ? you don't like >?

WHy is Circa Here? obviously the club land is not booming so there is a window of opportunity here,

will it survive YES only if it really contributes to the arts and music of Toronto thats means Investing into Toronto and Canadian Talent! it is Charity also.

To truly support the Canadian arts culture is not just about running a business and making money . its about respecting it and showing that this is your priority ,thats what the club is here for right?
Invest into your local Talent and it will attract the audience.
do you know how much exposure and hype you can create around an upcoming dj for $5k in Toronto instead of wasting money on flights and
dj fees.? think about that then we can continue this talk.

If Peter is a local he should be supporting Toronto artists,
First dj we hear having a residency is dj behrouz ?

Regarding Craig seems like
he is inviting his friends to join the club...

this is all a joke

PEACE

How is our local talent not well invested in? They play in all the clubs Toronto offers, big and small. They frequently steal the show away from the headlining DJs. Their sets fill up the clubs every damn weekend. They all have a very loyal following here. Lastly, their talent is recognized even in other countries so they go and play internationally as well. You're making it seem like our local DJs are getting the short end of the stick on everything, which is simply not true imo. "OH NOES!! Behrouz is a resident DJ in a new club - Toronto's club scene is going into the ter!"

Secondly, you seem to be projecting your gripe with Circa onto other clubs. If you have a problem with what Circa's doing, blame Circa, not the whole scene in Toronto.

Lastly, Circa didn't even open yet, and you're already bitching about it, FFS.
