I guess it could be decent. I've never been the hugest Hernàn fan; he always seems a bit boring and drawn-out. I'll try Sequential vol. 1 again because I really want to like it, and Hernàn, but I don't know if I ever will. Maybe this volume will do the trick. |
Demoted try his Perfecto Album presents South America cd2. Fantastic CD. His renaissance masters Vol2 CD2 was also top notch. In my opinion those are his best 2 cds by far!!!Give those a listen and be prepared for a terrific musical journey |

| WOW, I'm really surprised that some people hated the first Sequential that much. Especially since I find it to be one of the best compilations I've ever heard. I'm really looking forward to the second installment in the Sequential series. |

I wouldn't go as far as to say it was one of the best compilations I've ever heard, I certainly did enjoy both cds, but most people's feelings are that he had enough material to put on an amazing single cd, combining the best tracks from both cds... or at least that's my feeling. There were some incredibly beautiful tunes joined by some other horrible flat tracks that hurt the whole vibe of both cds.
Hernan's sets are usually somewhat complicated, most people find him very flat, but if you dig deep enough you will find something valuable out of it... I mean sometimes I've fallen asleep on some of his sets lol, and sometimes he's just owned me with some very dark prog/tribal combined with beautiful melodic prog, and most of the times with that same flat prog he likes to play but it has a different feeling to it, like a journey.
I'm waiting for this one with lots of excitement and hope it doesn't fall on the same mistakes as vol. 1. |

I am flabbergasted people find Sequential 1 boring as well. Disc one was smooth, deep, proggy genius w/ admittedly a couple random tracks I wasn't a fan of, but holy crap I would think Trafik - Thought Line and Way Out West - Wonka make up for it all. Disc 2 wasn't boring at all w/ dark electro stuff to start it off then upbeat rest of the way, Eddie F - Breather being the highlight of that disc for me.
However the first and only time I'v seen Hernan live was more like disc 2 stuff but some how it got boring to me, plus some of his other compilations are a mix of beauty n boring but I thought Sequential was not only his best work but one of the best compilations I own, top 5 easy. |

| I agree, Sequential 1 was fantastic... just a really good, clean progressive set. I must say I'm even more excited about the second one having seen this tracklist. |
