cause i graduated high school on time, haven't had any money problems and have been going steady with money and a job better then most of them. out of my close friends, only 3 of them have gone to college and most of them still don't know what they want to do for a career.

Because he's probably got the highest earning potential of them all, it seems. That's how I interpret it.

Most of my friends are in University or College same as me.

Some of the other people I used to hang out with however still act like they're in high school. Some are in college, others are working at the same restaurant they did in during high school. Most are doing better than I thought they would do, but maturity level wise - I don't think they've aged too much.

close friends, ummm, 1 is a mechanic and goes to school, other is a plumber and is doing an apprentice thing, and the others don't do much, they work sometimes and some how have money.
other friends from high school dropped out and became construction workers.
and other friends go to school and work part time.
me, done college about 2 years ago and been working full time since.
hmmm, seems like i'm doing the best out of all of them.

Duuuudee! You're not fitting into the porkchop stereotype!!! The is wrong with you??!?! Look at your friends - they know their place. Why can't you be more like them?

LOL. And on that note: WTF is up with ppl from high school who were s to you then and have added you to their friends list on facebook now? I don't care if you're interested in bumping-up your number of friends. Piss off :p

I have kept only two good friends from high school: both are undertaking post-secondary education (one in the sciences and one in business).

Ahahahhahahhaa, I know exactly what you mean. I even know who you mean, LOL.

On topic,
I don't keep in touch with too many of my highschool friends. Even the ones that are on my friends list on Facebook (see cenik's post). The few that I do keep in touch with are either in post-secondary, working full-time (one is a floor manager in a store), and one is studying to be an auto mechanic. They're all happy with what they're doing, actually probably more happy than I am because I hate school so damn much, but it's almost done so i'm just suffering through what's left.

all of my high schools friends are pretty much doing the same thing.

Still in University. Only graudated from HS 4 years ago and i think 98% of my friends went to Uni/College...

So we'll see in a few years what happens, but most of my friends HS were the ppl who will be doing something in their lives.

One of my friends has been accepted to Med School @ McGill...can't imagine that one! One Smart kid.

Haha speaking about old high school friends I just ran into one at a Deli in my old neighbourhood.

Told me he's trying to stay outta trouble even though he was arressted 3 times in the past month! None of them were his fault of course:rolleyes:

seems like most everyone thinks they are doing better in life than all his or her old highschool friends...
