althought i am the greatest mixer in the world of Mixmeister 6(now $19.99 at compusa LOlOLoLROLFROLF)as evidenced by:...

...its many shortcomings and the fact i have to pay for v7 and also the fact that it sucks makes me want to move on. it's time to grow up.
what is some other cheap software that can do pre-recorded mixes? or a software DJ setup that very very very much mimics that of a real setup without requiring a gay ass X-Fi audio card or something.
(i have a 24-bit Audigy ZS (aka, best card ever)) and i need something that isn't going to blow it up doing all the SPU calc |

Do you seriously not know other programs? I'm gonna put out the popular ones:
Ableton Live (Pre-Recorded)
Virtual DJ (Live)
Traktor DJ Studio (Live)
Atomix Pro Mp3 (Live) |

| Damn that sucks...well, there is always Ableton. It's just way more complicated than MixMeister. |

@Atmos - What do you mean ableton live is pre-recorded?
the whole concept is that it's "live"
If anything it's less prerecorded than anything else since you can sequence new tracks live... |

| Yea you can make live mashups and sequence tracks on the spot...but if you wanted to mix, you can have your mix setup and then begin recording, thus pre-recorded. You see on MixMeister...you have the option of recording live, but you can create a mix by setting start points and EQ and Volume Edit points during the track so you can have 12 tracks layed out and tested and then hit the record button and then export. I have used this the same way on Ableton so it's not live mixing like Virtual DJ or Traktor...hopefully you see what I mean. |

| Yeah live works both ways, but I think its innovation comes in the live performance. |

| Yea it does...that's why it's so popular. There would be nothing special about it if it was only used for pre-recorded mixes. |

Atomix - www.atomixmp3.com
Can download it for free and it has auto beatmatching that pretty much never gets it wrong.
You have to mix it and record it instead of arranging it like ableton, but it is so easy to use that you may as well just mix live with it |
