I found that pretty much all volume issues were done by 7:30 ish. I had a conversation with one of the bouncers who I know, he was at the base of the booth most of the time and he and I both agreed it was too loud and then later we both agreed it got turned down and a lot better. |

| Oh well, guess I left too early. |

| last time I saw him was at Sonic in TO maybe... last November? December? Sounds like pretty much the same deal. He came on around 3-3:30, with a strong emphasis on glitchy, distant, cold "theme from your nightmares" sort of tracks until his first "false stop" around 8am, after which the energy picked up, and he shifted towards dark, crankin' beats. He used this "bloop bloop" bubbles through water effect a lot, and the lighting tech guys upped the ambient blue light and used the disco ball a lot, it was like being in an aquarium. SO cool! He ended around 11am with a total strong finish. I think the lesson was, "show up at 8:30am". Sorry it wasn't stellar :( |

that pissed me off aswell... got there at 11:40pm... and some ing people took they ing sweet ass time and i got to coatcheck (without a ing coat) at 12:10 only to not have my drink tickets...
ing sucks...
and i know, next time get there earlier... i just didnt expect a line up that big... i never saw one that big over there at that time before
so i decided to go to Taro and bought myself a ing bottle of Greygoose...

brought my friend from calgary who never came to montreal and we both left at 7am because we were both disapointed... i kinda felt bad that i brought him there.
i dont give a if he played the best set of his life at 8am. if i am falling asleep form 4:30am to 7am... my patience has limits.
omg im still really mad about this.
i think i will have to go check out circus now. |
