Yep the main synth lead was done with a 3xOSC, but with alot of flanging, reverbing, EQ'ing... etc :) |
Man. Anychance of uploading the FLP (not a Zip - I don't need the samples) so I can see how you did that synth?
Is that bass also TS404/3xOSC?
Talking of quality stuff with FruityLoops, I recently came across this excellent 303 bass sound... FLP here: http://www.the-spoon.co.uk/nonspoon/3031.flp
I didn't make it, but it really is quite lovely :) |

ACK... sry to spoil u're fun Wim, but i personally didnt think much of this rmx.... (SORRY!)
Okay Okay it has that Protect u're Mind melody (which u have made awesome use of in the lead) but i thought this remix was abit ... weak i s'pose... that sound after the strings at the begining... sorta synthey bass pluck type thingy (heh..) its dull and sounds like its of a Casio keyboard, same goes for the paino... (SORRY again!)
Okay... so i guess its not THAT bad but i think... no wait i kno u can do better (just listen to u're ''Behind the Matrix'' and u're remix for ''The Masters of Balance'' ... THEY ROCK!
Okay.... out of 10 i'll give it...

Hey Dan that's ok, you're entitled to have your own opinion, you know :)
and remember not everyone has the same taste in tracks! some like it harder, less cheesy, while others simply love that stuff... complicated world where it's hard to please EVERYONE :)
cheers buddy, don't worry bout it :)

it has that distinct fruity sound to it
u can easily tell the leads were made with the 3osc
but other than that
it is a great remix man!
keep up the good work |

hey there :)
u seem to be having a real grudge against those sounds ;)
well, i'm doing my best with the VAZ modular, but it's hard to get good sounds other than that SHOKK type synth, which doesn't always match the style of tracks i work with :)
thx for having a listen :)

i like it! i have fruityloops pro v2.5 (i know its old, a friend gave it to me a long time ago) and i didn't know this program could make cool sounds.. it just seems hard to do each note one at a time, if i had a keyboard hooked up and could use that it seems like it would be easier.. is this how u guys do it? or do you sit there and click each note one by one!? |

ok.. the strings intro is nice. then at 1:56 it's so "dead". i think i know what you tried to do though. then the first bassline came and i thought 'argh.. not another one of those standard 1/8th basslines', but then at 2:30 the 2nd bassline came in.. that's more like it :).
the high strings during the break go nicely. the sound of the leadsynths are ok, but 'fruity', hehe... |
