Don’t Ever pay for a girl on your first date and not even on the second or third.
At the end of dinner just pay for your own food and if you get a confused look out of her just say something like: "its time you start paying for yourself for a change you stupid ****" if she's really hot then you will probably be getting some buttsex by no time…

For Valentines Day I took her out to a restaurant on the water that had a view of the city's skyline and got a 2 person table at the bay window.

Upon our arrival I had a single red rose and a $70 dollar bottle of champagne waiting for us with rose petals scattered over the table and candles.

.

When I gave her her ring I took her to restaurant on an island in Miami that had a 270 degree waterfront. You had to check in at a gate guard that called in ahead to see if you had a reservation or they wouldnt let you in.

We got in and there was a live pianist with a flute player playing Berserk style crazy sounding music that was just hauntingly cool.

Had appetizers, few drinks, awesome dinner. Then ordered a flaming bahama-mama dessert that was a pineapple with top cut off and filled with ice cream and caramel that had 1 foot of blue flame coming off of it to caramelize the whole thing and melt the ice cream a bit.

Between dinner and dessert gave a little speech and gave her the ring :*)

Also, since we are both Christian, start the dinner off with a prayer and held hands and stuff.

Romantic dinner = cash though. Unless you want to go on a short hike with a heavy pack full of wine, bread, cheese, a groundcloth, etc... open that check book hehe.

My wife and I had a nice romantic dinner last Saturday. I had to work a show in New York on Sat/Sun so I made hotel reservations for Sat evening. My wife took the train up and met me at the hotel after the show was over. She brought a bottle of wine with her and we both had a relaxing glass before our dinner reservation. We took a cab from the hotel to Ruth's Chris steakhouse (my choice, since I had been once before but my wife hadn't) and we had a few cocktails before our dinner. Afterwards, we took a cab back to the hotel and we just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company.

It was nice because it was different than our normal routine. Being able to have wine before leaving for dinner (since we don't normally do that because we are driving), cocktails at a nice bar, seeing Manhattan, staying in a hotel, pretending we are young and hip (lol); sometimes an evening doesn't even have to be planned out and it can still end up being very romantic.

Wait - Walkers engaged? Congrats! [why didn't I hear about this earlier a-hole??]

And Jdat substitute a pizza place for that mcd's/subway idea and I would think that was a totally awesome first date. Or any kind of date. That just sounds like a lot of fun.

take her out for chinese. Nearly everyone likes it and, though it can never really get to expensive it won't seem like you're being cheap since, well, nearly everyone likes it.

Maybe even pretend like it's your fav chinese place around.

lol do what you like to do, fool

and take her along for the ride

lol I was half joking :stongue:

and Subway or Mcd's hell no :p
I never eat there anyhow!

In regards to forst dates I prefer to avoid the formal restaurant type deal.
If the place is too nice it can make you uptight and conversation difficult.
Bouncing around to different places on a first date, maybe a little art gallery vernissage followed by some drinks then food maybe walk around club music whatever

so many options so many girls to date
:toothless

(I'm such a bad liar ... haven't been on a date or anything serious with a girl in such a long time :( )
