Show Passport as ID for Club Admission?

I heard a rumor that Canadians may have to show a passport instead of regular photo-ID to gain admission to a club?
Has anyone else heard this? I really don't feel comfortable bringing a passport to a club environment.
If anyone could shed any light on this, it would be much appreciated :)

| There's been problem's with international ID's.. sometimes they can be a bitch about it, or not. Maybe they are friendly with Canadians, but Passport should have you covered 100%. |
