record a stereo mix?

ok im trying to get a sample out of a streaming mix online so i can post an ID Sample but i cant get a recording.
Wat programs can i use? audacity which i used to use stoped working for some reason i cant select the input on it

1. Tape record it
2. Convert it to cd
3. Burn to computer
4.Upload on internet so noone can ever id it.... |

is your windows Recording sounds settings input selected @ "wave", not "mic"?
