We all were at Steve Porter last night. ZZZZZZZ. We left and made Tae spin for us at home. Much better!

I guess it's because of trends. The WMC is that time of the year to check out new sounds, trends, producers, dj's, labels, etc.
Music changes with time, and apparently trance is not hot anymore. Just look at reviews from last year: most talent for Sunday School were Techno acts and it was considered the best party. Now "minimal" techno (it really isn't) is being whored out because it's what's selling. Minimal sounds, funkier with a twist of electro (read M.A.N.D.Y., Booka Shade, some Poker Flat and Circo Loco names, etc): that's been the money making formula for the last couple of years. Even Made has been booking acts like Loco Dice, Martin Buttrich next month, the Get Physical guys... The only one Bindra is missing is Sven (which Robots has booked).
Just watch Detroit getting packed for the DEMF in the next few years. |

Got to club around 2AM Chris was on the deck, good set. However, as a number 10 DJ in the world, his mixing skill is not what I expected.
Jules came on deck after Chris, abousoultly awesome set he performed.
Afet Jules the club starts dying out with very few people to start with. I think the promoter cancel all other DJs' set due to the lack of audiences.
Overall, bad experience for my 1st WMC night. But, glad I heard Jules awesome set.

Passed out this morning unexpectedly and missed the poolside party at shelbourn. On my way to Poolside though, I bumped into Chris Lawrence with his wife heading to this Bowling party with Sasha, Sander, etc.
Spoke to Edgar V, and got us in The Fifth. Also found out that he is switching to house muzik. He warmed up the place with an exceptional house set till 1:30AM and killed one sub. SVD came on and tore the place up with his hardcore tech trance set. Overall, very satisfy with tonight's show. Only complaint is the speaker system wasn't that great.
Left the Fifth at around 5AM and heading to Danny Howell at Pawn Shop and found out that it's closed.
Now I am sitting here in my hotel room all hyped up listening ASOTE250... |

They didnt let anyone else in after 5am as one of my friends was coming over from lawler and was told she just made it in before the cutoff. The party ended at 845 however |

I can attest to that. I had mostly trance events on my schedule during WMC week, but ended up attending all house, electro, techno events and only one trance event at Nikki Beach thursday...
